The first round of nutrient inter-calibration exercise was completed in May. All together, seven labs (4 from China and 3 from Korea) participated in the exercise to compare their analytical results for nutrients in sea water. The tested nutrients were nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, phosphates, and silicates. The final report and results are available upon request from the PMO (info@yslme.org) . The seven labs will participate in Round 2 using a different set of standards to test for the same compounds. Some labs may also alter their analytical methods based on the recommendations for improvement from Round 1.
