The new activities under the Investment Component include the Governance Analysis and the Environmental Valuation.

The Governance Analysis examines the political environment that affects the environmental problems in the Yellow Sea. The regional experts will analyse the stakeholders, institutions, laws, and policies that are relevant to the management of the Yellow Sea’s ecosystem.

The Environmental Valuation assesses the economic aspects of the marine and coastal resources. The regional procedure for Valuation studies will be developed, focusing on specific ecosystem characteristics.

The results of both the Governance Analysis and the Environmental Valuation will be available this summer, and further details will be announced in future newsletters.
