In co-operation with Yonsei University Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS), the Project initiated the Voluntary Internship Programme (VIP) consisting of three activities: the introductory session on UN System and UNDP/GEF Yellow Sea Project, the participation in Project’s international meetings and workshops, and the summary and reporting session. The first activity, the Introductory Session, was oraganised in the University’s Seoul campus with the participation of 17 Yonsei students as well as officials from GSIS, UNDP Republic of Korea, and the Project. After presentations about the United Nations and its environmental projects, the students and the officials actively exchanged their views and opinions. The students raised various questions and comments about the Project’s internship, expressing their strong interests. Considering those inputs, the Project will refine the VIP activities and ask for participation from the students. The Project will invite college students to the “Parliamentary Conference” organised in fall 2007.
